Who Am I
I'm Becca Williams, a former IT Specialist who is reskilling for a new yet related technology
field.
I'm a quiet, thoughtful woman and hope to be employed as a programmer sometime before March 2021 when I get
married.
What I've Done
I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in IT in Fall 2019.
While at the University of West Florida (in Pensacola),
I was active with the mental health awareness group Active Minds
along with a large on-campus ministry known as Baptist Collegiate Ministries
and spent most of my free time at my local church with members who became like a second family to me.
Professional Accomplishments:
- June 2018-March 2019: Worked on a Raspberry Pi Smart Farm project
- Programmed the Raspberry Pi to email me when plants needed watered
- Presented on my findings at a Research Symposium
- Taught elementary school kids how to do a simplified project involving the plants
- May 2019- February 2020: Hired to work as Back Office Support at a Managed IT

- July 2019: Became CompTIA A+ Certified
- December 2019: Received my CompTIA Network+ Certification
- March 2020: Started LaunchCode LC101 Program
- April 2020: Finished Coursera's Google IT Support Specialization
- Used PowerShell to automate system administration tasks in Windows machines
- Used the Terminal in Linux systems for various system administration tasks
- Used cryptography algorithms in Linux to encrypt and de‑crypt messages
- Created case studies of best security practices to be implemented for various level
organizations
